Jaklin - Jaklin (1969 UK Blues Rock Psych)

ALBUM EXTREMAMENTE RARO!! MUSICALMENTE O QUE OUVIMOS É BLUES ELÉTRICO BEM VARIADO COM ALGUNS TOQUES PSICODÉLICOS E PITADAS SUTIS DE JAZZ!! A MAIORIA DAS MUSICAS É ESCRITA PELO GUITARRISTA JAKLIN, MAS O DESTAQUE FICA POR CONTA DO TECLADISTA E PIANISTA "TOMMY EIRE" QUE PARTICIPOU DE VÁRIAS BOAS BANDAS COMO ALEX HARVEY, JOHN MAYALL, AYNSLEY DUNBAR RETALIATION, RIFF RAFF E MUITAS OUTRAS!! VENENO RARÍSSIMO E ALTAMENTE RECOMENDADO!!

An extremely rare album. Musically, we're talking electric blues with some psychedelic touches especially on the track, "Song To Katherine". Most of the material is written by Jaklin aside from three traditionals: "Rosie", "Early In The Morning", which has some jazzy piano improvisation, and the heavier "Catfish Blues" and their Cream-like rendition of Alexis Korner's "The Same For You". Overall it's a varied blues album.

Tommy Eyre: Was a session keyboardist from Sheffield, England, who appeared on records by Joe Cocker, John Martyn, Alex Harvey, Greg Lake, Gary Moore, B.B. King, John Mayall, Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation, Riff Raff and ZZebra. He is perhaps most famous for playing on Joe Cocker's UK chart-topper "With A Little Help From My Friends" on which he arranged the distinctive organ intro, and Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street".
