Bill Blue Band - Streetpreacher (1975 US Blues Rock)
HIGH RARITY!!
BILL BLUE ERA O NOME REAL DO CARA CUJA CARREIRA, APESAR DE SER POUCO CONHECIDO, DURA MAIS DE 30 ANOS!! HOJE O CARA AINDA CONTINUA FAZENDO SHOWS EM KEY WEST, NA FLORIDA, LOCAL PRA ONDE SE MUDOU NOS ANOS 80!! O SOM DO CARA ERA UM BLUES ROCK DE QUALIDADE!! RARIDADE PURA E UM BOM E RECOMENDADO VENENO BLUES!!
When Bill Blue(Yup,that's his real name) went to Virginia to meet blues great Arthur(Big Boy) Crudup, writer of Elvis's first record "That's Alright Mama'', little did he know that he would go from a struggling out of work musician to being on the road with Big Boy on Bonnie Raitt first US tour. That started a career that has lasted over 30 years and taken Bill Blue to stages all over the world playing shows with the likes of ZZ Top, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Allman Bros. ,Albert King, Albert Collins, Johnny Winter, Hank Williams Jr., Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, John Prine just to name a few.
After releasing two albums "Indian Summer Blues" and "Street Preacher" on the Richmond, Va. based Feather Records, Bill signed with the prestigious Adelphi Records, one of the best blues labels in the US with worldwide distribution releasing "Sing Like Thunder" and "Giving Good Boy's A Bad Name". This gave him the exposure to play venues all over Europe and the US. After years of touring Bill moved to Key West, Fl in the 80's while still keeping an active touring schedule he became a mainstay playing all the Key West joints, Sloppy Joe's, Hogs Breath Saloon, The Green Parrot Bar and the Full Moon Saloon where he recorded the very popular live CD "Live On The Moon".
These days Bill has gone back to his roots playing acoustic get down blues on his collection of vintage acoustic and resonator guitars solo and with a trio at festivals in the US and Europe. As a New York Times reviewer said about one of Bill's shows in New York City "One moment you are laughing your butt off, and a few songs later you're crying in your beer; from a songwriter, you can't ask for anything more." Finnigan & Wood- Crazed Hipsters (1972 Rock Blues and touch Gospel)
Ele aparece tocando no álbum Be A Brother!!
-------------------
“Crazed Hipsters” is 10 fantastic tracks that cover genres like Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll and Gospel. The one and only F&W LP is considered by some a perfect record from front to back. Unforgettable covers of classic tunes by Bob Dylan, The Staples Singers, Bobby “Blue” Bland & Ray Charles plus some fabulous originals by Lane Tietgen and Roger Troy.
------------------
Biography
A much-respected figure within San Francisco's music community, pianist/organist Finnegan first attracted attention in the mid-60s leading Mike Finnegan And The Surfs. By the end of the decade he was a pivotal member of the Serfs, a jazz-influenced rock act responsible for Early Bird Cafe. In 1970 Finnegan teamed with former Gary Burton guitarist Jerry Hahn in Jerry Hahn's Brotherhood, but the group's sole, self-titled album failed properly to illustrate their talents. Finnegan then joined Nu Boogaloo Express, a group featuring former members of Big Brother And The Holding Company. When the latter act was re-formed in 1971, Finnegan joined the line-up on a part-time basis. He appears on their album, Be A Brother. The pianist also began his solo career that year. Mike Finnegan And Friends was completed with the help of Muscle Shoals studio musicians David Hood, Barry Beckett and Roger Hawkins. Three accomplished albums followed in the next seven years. In 1972 he recorded Crazed Hipsters with guitarist Jerry Wood and in 1978 formed Dudek, Finnegan And Krueger with Les Dudek (formerly with Boz Scaggs and Steve Miller). They completed Sweet Salvation and The DFK Band, before Dudek and Finnegan formed Black Rose, a soft-rock ensemble fronted by Cher. Finnegan resumed solo work when this act split up, but failed to recapture the profile he enjoyed during the 70s. He has worked with members of Crosby, Stills And Nash for many years and co-sang the Stephen Stills AOR hit "Can't Let Go in 1984. He continues to be sought after for session work, although he has an exceptional voice that is underused.

REPOST: Probe - Direction (1968 USA Psych Hard Rock Blues)
BANDA FORMADA EM ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS, LANÇOU ESTE ALBUM QUE HOJE É EXTREMAMENTE RARO E TEM COMO MARCA UM PSYCH HARD ROCK TINGIDO DE BLUES!! A FAIXA 2 E 7 SÃO VERSÕES DA BANDA THE STEVE MILLER BAND!! O SOM DOS CARAS É BEM DIFERENTE DO TRADICIONAL!! EU DIRIA QUE É UM HARD ROCK COM BASES FORTES NA PSICODELIA E NO BLUES!! VENENO RARÍSSIMO, FORA DO TRADICIONAL E BEM PIRADÉX!!
Late 60's US psych rock with acid guitars and flipped out organs. Very little information included, so many questions about this band. One of the rarest US rock albums, from 1969 Illinois, this is a fine collection of blues based heavy rock that includes an excellent version of Steve Millers "Living In The USA" along with some good original compositions...

REQUEST: KALACAKRA - Crawling To Lhasa (1972 German Acid Folk Blues Psych Raga)
** 320kbps and FULL COVERS with 16 BOOKLET PAGES **
Thus the compositions have a heavily eastern influence (near to "raga" rock experiences) with a lot of flute, sitar and percussions. This meditative musical background provides a few musical interludes quite charming and dreamy. The general mood of the album is dominated by solid blues guitar sections accompanied by stoned, depressive vocals (in German) and many freak out, psychedelic rock sequences. The atmosphere of Kalacakra's musical universe is rather mysterious, sinister with a few humorous accents. Consequently it is an other acid trip from the early German underground, a good mixture of prog / psych and folk ingredients.

Kaleidoscope - Kaleidoscope (1968 Mexico Psych Acid Rock)
ESTA É UMA DAS MELHORES BANDAS PSICODÉLICAS DOS ANOS 60 DA AMÉRICA LATINA E QUE NÃO DEIXA NADA A DESEJAR PARA NENHUMA BANDA DO ESTILO DE OUTROS PAÍSES!! NA ÉPOCA FORAM EDITADAS APENAS 200 CÓPIAS DO ALBUM ORIGINAL E MAIS TRADE A GRAVADORA "LA CIRUELA ELECTRICA" REEDITOU EM CD COM UMA TIRAGEM LIMITADA DE 600 CÓPIAS!! A BANDA É LEGENDÁRIA, POIS GRAVOU APENAS ESSE ALBUM ONDE, ATREVIDAMENTE PARA PARÃMETROS DE BANDAS LATINO AMERICANAS, FORAM ALÉM DO HORIZONTE LIMITADO E CERTAMENTE REGADO A MUITA MESCALINA E PEIOTE, FIZERAM UM DISCO PSICODÉLICO, ÁCIDO, COM TOQUE PROGRESSIVOS, ORGAN FUZZ E UM CLIMA MEIO GARAGEIRO MUITO BEM ELABORADO!! VENENO MEXICANO ALTAMENTE RECOMENDADO!!
The Band...
No relation to bands of the same name from California or from England, this Kaleidoscope was Mexican, though like the other two bands, they also operated in the late 1960s. Their sole album was a typical piece of garage rock-psychedelia, heavy on thick vibrating organ, fuzz guitar, and surly vocals. The album sounds very much like a soundtrack to a circa-'67 psychsploitation flick, but with a better band than most such films enlisted, with some unpredictable wacky effects and lead vocals (only betraying faint foreign accents) affecting a nonchalant cockiness. It's been reported that just a couple hundred copies of the LP were pressed when it first came out, and though it was reissued on La Ciruela Electrica, that was a limited edition of only 600 copies.
The Mexican Kaleidoscope's sole, self-titled album is like many American '67-'68 psych-garage obscurities in its morose, frequently minor-keyed blend of ominous organ and fuzz guitars. Yet mucho eccentricity and spontaneity make it more interesting than many such relics. That organ really vibrates with a menace, sometimes like a distant cousin to the Doors, but with a more adolescent, untutored sensibility. Although the vocals (all in English) are often lovelorn laments, they drip with snarling attitude veering from don't-give-a-damn bluesiness to abject self-pity, mixing in a psychedelic sense of disorientation that sets the songs aside from the more conventional romantic lyrics of earlier mid-'60s garage bands. And some goofy psychedelic touches appear without warning, like the cheap outer space signals in "Colours"; the Harpo Marx-like horn interjections in the same tune; the atomic explosion that ends "Hang Out"; the out-of-nowhere distant, cornered-wolf yells of "A New Man"; the weird, slightly off-key plunks of "I Think It's All Right," which ring like a tapped wine glass; and the funk rock guitar of "I'm Crazy," which sounds halfway between a chicken-scratch and a drawer being opened and closed, giving way to a harem organ. Then there's the eight-minute "Once Upon a Time There Was a World," which sounds like an unwitting parody of suicidal teenage angst in its over-the-top sorrow for itself, yet backed with a creepy organ-fuzz arrangement of almost funereal grandeur. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide

Fantasy - Paint a Picture (1973 UK Prog Rock Psych Folk)
Paint a Picture" was the debut album release by England's FANTASY and represents a lovely early work of art. This 5 piece English band play a highly symphonic styled melodic progressive rock with some lovely deep mellotron and keyboards. FANTASYy were known as a song based band and this album showcases their lyrical approach to symphonic music. Instrumentally these guys were amazing with some lovely bass, guitar and drum interplay all put to the expressive and flowing vocals. Their sound is full and rich with lots of great instrumentation. Recommended!

ASH RA TEMPEL & TIMOTHY LEARY - Seven Up (1972 German Psych Acid Rock)
ALBUM QUE COMPROVA CABALMENTE QUE PRA VIAJAR NO COSMOS NÃO PRECISA GASOLINA, APENAS DE UM BOM VENENO!! O GURU DO LSD "TIMOTHY LEARY" E A BANDA ALEMÃ "ASH RA TEMPEL SE JUNTARAM PRA FAZER ESSE PATAÇO PSICODÉLICO E ACIDO QUE, CONFORME DECLARAÇÃO DE UM DOS INTEGRANTES DA BANDA, "SÓ FAZ SENTIDO PRA QUEM TOMAR UM TABLETE DE ÁCIDO E ESPERAR PELO EFEITO ENQUANTO ROLA ESSA VIAGEM SONORA!!" QUE DECLARAÇÃO HEIN!! JÁ DÁ UMA IDÉIA DO DISCO QUE FOI PRODUZIDO EM APENAS TRÊS DIAS ABAIXO DE MUITO ACIDO!! ABAIXO TEM UMAS RESENHAS SOBRE O ALBUM QUE VALE A PENA LER PRA ENTENDER O DISCO E A VIAGEM QUE SE INICIA AO DAR O PLAY!!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Daí surgiu o nome do disco - "Seven Up".
Seven Up, Ash Ra Tempel's third album is often very misunderstood by fans of their music. It's a real odd one to say the least, and if you're familiar with such albums as their 1971 debut, Join Inn (1973), or Inventions For Electric Guitar (1975, actually a Manuel Göttsching solo album) this one is quite a shock indeed. By this point, trying to figure out who was in the group has became pretty pointless. Guitarist Manuel Göttsching and bassist Hartmut Enke are still here, with tons of different vocalists, and ex-Tangerine Dream organist Steve Schroyder (he played on Alpha Centauri and guested on Zeit).
The album starts off with "Space". It's a suite divided in to four movements. It starts off with "Downtown", which doesn't sound too encouraging. It sounds like downright generic blues sung by a female vocalist, but never let that deceive you. You quickly face some truly mind blowing spacy electronic effects and noise that never lets up! It's pretty much the same throughout, although three more blues songs will follow, but as always, the blues songs never last because it sounds like the band was just so stoned at the time, they'd rather blow people's mind. I can sense quite a bit of irony in the way the band played those blues numbers.
Thanks to the presence of Timothy Leary (who was in exile in neighboring Switzerland), it's no surprise that this music is the effects of an LSD trip. The second half of the album is taken up by a three movement suite called "Time". Here's where detractors of the album finds its redeeming qualities, as this is very much like like Alpha Centauri-era Tangerine Dream. The last movement of "Time" is "She" which is basically a re-recording of "Suche & Liebe" off Ash Ra Tempel's 1972 album Schwingungen. This is a wonderful, and underrated album, which if you approach with an open-mind you'll probably enjoy it.
