APESAR DE SER POLÊMICO, E EU NÃO CONCORDAR MUITO COM ESSA DATA, APESAR DISSO, 13 DE JULHO, É COMEMORADO O DIA MUNDIAL DO ROCK, MAS SOMENTE NO BRASIL!! É ISSO MESMO!! AQUI SE COMEMORA UM DIA "MUNDIAL" QUE NA VERDADE NÃO É MUNDIAL!!
Pra quem não sabe...a explicação é que no dia 13 de julho de 1985, ocorreu o festival Live Aid, simultaneamente em Londres e na Filadélfia. Na ocasião, Phill Collins, da banda Genesis, que participou dos dois shows, declarou aquele como o “Dia do Rock”. Mas a data não é tão mundial assim. Nem os americanos nem os ingleses levaram isso a sério. Só brasileiros e as rádios rock do Brasil, desde aquela época, passaram a considerar esse o Dia do Rock.
O Live Aid teve sim grande importância pro rock. Reuniu grandes bandas e a causa foi humanitária. Ajudar a população da Etiópia a combater a fome da população. Não se discute isso. A causa foi nobre, mas aí considerar essa data como dia mundial do rock é forçar a barra. Tem tantas outras datas significativas pra se comemorar o dia do rock...
Mas...já que, apesar da minha contrariedade com a escolha da data, se o Brasil adotou dia 13 de julho, que assim seja!! O que importa realmente é evidenciar o rock n roll, que não é apenas um estilo musical, mas uma filosofia de vida, uma forma de pensar, agir, de postura e atitude!! Esse gênero extraordinário que mudou o rumo da história mundial!! Tanto nas artes como no comportamento!! O que vale é evidenciar o rock....pois dia de rock é todos os dias!! Então..sinta o rock, escute o rock...VIVA O ROCK N ROLL!!!

The explanation is that on July 13, 1985, the Live Aid festival took place, simultaneously in London and in Philadelphia. Live Aid was of great importance to rock. It brought together big bands and the cause was humanitarian. To help the population of Ethiopia to fight the famine of the population. But ... since, despite my annoyance with the choice of date, if Brazil adopted July 13, so be it !! What really matters is evidence of rock n roll !! This extraordinary genre has changed the course of world history !! Both in the arts and in behavior !! What is worth is evidence of the rock .... because rock day is every day !!
