Um álbum único, bluesy, gaita pesada com algumas guitarras extremamente confusas e vocais sinistros encharcados de efeitos!! Muitas vezes dois elementos muito não relacionados ocorrem simultaneamente (como o piano limpo e a guitarra difusa freakout na faixa-título), e os resultados são realmente ótimos!! Muito psicodélico, e mais um álbum que prova o poder e o mérito do lançamento de arquivo!! E uma das melhores capas de álbuns produzidas!!
Quando se achava que seus dois singles iniciais eram os únicos registros, começou a aparecer mais material dos caras!! Alguém aparentemente rastreou o guitarrista, que ainda tinha todas essas músicas salvas!! E Thomas Hartledge, dono do Shadoks (abençoe sua alma), estava mais do que de acordo em liberar esse material!! A versão de "Eagle Death" encontrada aqui é a versão original não editada, mais de um minuto a mais do que a encontrada no single original!! As outras três faixas lançadas anteriormente são como aparecem nos singles!! As cinco faixas restantes foram gravadas em 1969, ao vivo em estúdio!! Alguns deles são mais voltados para o blues rock do que os o hard psych lançados anteriormente!! Mas a maioria ainda incorpora guitarra fuzz extensa, mantendo-se nos moldes do resto dela!! As três últimas faixas são todas covers!! Uma preciosidade!! Essencial para todos os fãs do psych hard blues acid rock!!

A unique, bluesy, harmonica heavy album with some extremely confusing guitars and effects drenched ominous vocals!! Often two very unrelated elements occur simultaneously (like the clean piano and the fuzzy freakout guitar on the title track), and the results are really great!! Very psychedelic, and yet another album that proves the power and merit of archival release!! And one of the best album covers produced!!
Just when it was thought that their two initial singles were the only records, more material from the guys started to appear!! Someone apparently tracked down the guitarist, who still had all these songs saved!! And Thomas Hartledge, owner of Shadoks (bless his soul), was more than okay with releasing this material!! The version of "Eagle Death" found here is the original unedited version, over a minute longer than that found on the original single!! The other three previously released tracks are as they appear on the singles!! The remaining five tracks were recorded in 1969, live in the studio!! Some of them are more blues rock oriented than the hard psych ones released before!! But most still incorporate extensive fuzz guitar, keeping in the mold of the rest of it!! The last three tracks are all covers!! A gem!! Essential for all psych hard blues acid rock fans!!
