REPOST: Dr K's Blues Band - Dr K's Blues Band (1968 Rare UK Blues)

HIGH RARITY!! RARIDADE PURA!! O PIANO DE “DOCTOR K's” E A GUITARRA DE “GEOFF KRIVIT” QUE JÁ HAVIA SIDO MEMBRO DOS “BLUESBREAKERS” DE JOHN MAYALL, SE UNIRAM PARA GRAVAR ESTE EXCELENTE ALBUM QUE TEM ALGUMAS VERSÕES DE CLÁSSICOS DO BLUES E OUTRAS COMPOSIÇÕES PRÓPRIAS!! O DISCO, COMO VÁRIOS VENENOS DA ÉPOCA, FOI ESQUECIDO PELA MÍDIA E FOI UM FRACASSO COMERCIAL QUE LEVOU AO FIM DA BANDA E QUASE TODOS DESAPARECERAM DA CENA MUSICAL!! MAIS UMA BOA BANDA DE UM DISCO SÓ!! VENENO BLUES DO BOM E ALTAMENTE RARO!!
One of the great unsung legends of the late-'60s British blues boom, Dr. K's Blues Band's eponymous debut album is a heavyweight mix of original material (penned, for the most part, by pianist Richard Kay — the Dr. K of the title), and well-arranged standards. "Key to the Highway" and "Messin' With the Kid" both receive invigorating workouts, with the star of the show being guitarist Geoff Krivit, a tastefully imaginative player cut firmly in a John Mayall's Bluesbreakers-type vein.

Electric urban blues, particularly of the hard-hitting Chicago variety, became big news in Britain in the middle of the 1960's, not so much as performed by its American originators, but rather like the beat music and R&B which preceded it - via home grown interpretation by enthusiasts who began as fans and developed their enthusiasm as musicians.
