This version of Lock Up Your Mothers is the rare, original three CD set only available for a short time in 1994, before changing to the still available condensed single CD. This is not a studio or live album, greatest hit's or compilation, it's a retrospective of Billy's music between the years of 1969 to 1973 as seen through his eyes, which is why I chose it for today...very appropriate. Although this has a number of The Aztecs biggest hit's on it, including Billy's signature song Most People I Know Think That I'm Crazy, some of the best live 70's rock you'll ever hear as well as many classic studio recordings, this is not an album for everybody. Personally, I love it. Disc 3, which I still play all the time, has the best version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow (live), you'll ever hear & my favorite song for laying back with my eyes closed & playing ridiculously loud, Slowly Learning How.

The Aztecs were known for being the loudest band in the world, even when they played in a small pub they tried to make your ears bleed. You can tell how loud they were by all the feedback coming out of their amps on these live tracks & to get the most out of these tracks, you should play them as loud as possible...Billy would've wanted it that way.

**NOTES: Although the entire "Hoax Is Over LP is included, it is edited to make room for other tracks. Here are some minor inaccuracies in the notes (credit again to: THORPIE! by Paul McHenry):
The track "Back Home In Australia" is claimed to be on the "Opera House"LP, but actually appeared as a B-side to the single "Cigarettes & Whiskey" and on the Atlantic compilation, "Gold"
The Live version of "Over The Rainbow" and "New Orleans"and "Let's have A Party" were actually recorded at Sunbury 1974, not '73.
The Meyer Music Bowl concert was in 1972, not 1973
"More Arse Than Class" was released in 1974, not '73.

Luiz, thank you for this and all the other wonderful albums you've shared. But there seems to be a real problem with part 3 of this one. I've tried it at least 4 times and it always just stops and hangs after 12,394,354 bytes (except once it stopped a little sooner). Maybe there's something wrong at the server end. Can you re-up part 3?

Maybe you did re-up part 3? I was able to get this a day or two ago, after many unsuccessful tries. Many thanks!

BLACK MERDA - The Psych Funk of Black Merda (US Psych Soul Rock)

Originalmente nosso nome seria Black Murder, m...

HOWLIN WOLF - The Howlin Wolf Album (1969 Blues Psych)

APENAS UMA HOMENAGEM DO VENENOS DO ROCK A ESSE GRANDE MESTRE BLUESEIRO!! ESSE LP É UM DOS MAIS MALUCOS DO CARA E MISTUROU BLUES COM ROCK PSICODÉLICO!! A CHESS RECORDS TENTOU INCORPORAR AO VELHO E TRADICIONAL BLUES ALGUNS ARRANJOS MAIS "MALUCOS" E O QUE CAÍA BEM PARA O ANO DE 1969 ERA EXATAMENTE A PSICODELIA QUE ESTAVA NO AUGE, POR ISSO SAIU ESSE BOM DISCO QUE DEU NOVAS E PSICODÉLICAS ROUPAGENS AO BOM BLUES DE HOWLIN WOLF COM GUITARRAS WHA-WHA E TUDO MAIS!! UM ESTILO MAIS HENDRIX NO BLUES DO CARA!! PROJETO SIMILAR FOI FEITO COM MUDDY WATERS EM SEU ALBUM ELECTRIC MUD!! OS MÚSICOS AQUI SÃO OS MESMOS DOS DOIS PROJETOS!! VALE DIZER QUE O VELHO E TRADICIONAL HOWLIN WOLF TORCEU O NARIZ PARA ISSO MAS ACABOU CEDENDO E GRAVANDO O ALBUM, MAS MESMO ASSIM  DEPOIS DA GRAVAÇÃO ELE DETONOU DIZENDO QUE ISSO NÃO ERA BLUES!! ESSE PROTESTO TÁ ESCRITO NA PRÓPRIA CAPA DO LP!!! IMAGINEM UM LP ONDE O PRÓPRIO ARTISTA DIZ NA CAPA NÃO TER GOSTADO!! SÓ PODIA VENDER POUCO MESMO!! EU PARTICULARMENTE...

Master's Apprentices - Nickelodeon (1971 Australian Hard Rock Bluesy)

AUSTRALIAN BAND HIGH MUSIC QUALITY!! BANDA AUSTRALIANA DE ALTA QUALIDADE MUSICAL!! O DISCO GRAVADO AO VIVO NO NICKELODEON THEATRE EM DEZEMBRO DE 1970 JÁ COMEÇA COM UM PETARDO HARD ROCK VISCERAL E PODEROSO!! SEGUE COM "EVIL WOMAN" UM HARD ROCK BLUES COM 13 MINUTOS DE DURAÇÃO QUE É UMA OBRA PRIMA!! BEM, AS DEMAIS FAIXAS SEGUEM A MESMA LINHA COM ALGUMAS PASSAGENS MAIS LEVES, MAS O PREDOMÍNIO É O HARD ROCK MESCLADO COM BLUES AO ESTILO SETENTISTA E FEITO COM MAESTRIA!! CERTAMENTE ESTE É UM DOS GRANDES DISCOS DESTE ESTILO!! VENENO ALTAMENTE RECOMENDADO!! NÃO SÓ DE CANGURU VIVE A AUSTRALIA!! A highly-rated band who formed in Adelaide in 1965. Their diverse musical styles ranged from R'n'B to psychedelic rock to heavy rock. They were one of Australia's most popular bands of the sixties and their talent has continued to be recognised to this day. They formed out of the instrumental outfit The Mustangs who started playing raucous R'n'B material penned by their...
