EXCELENTE BANDA ALEMÃ QUE, APESAR DE ALTAMENTE COMPETENTES, NÃO GRAVARAM NENHUM ALBUM DE ESTÚDIO, APENAS ESSE GRAVADO AO VIVO NA RÁDIO ALEMÃ SWF A PARTIR DA REMASTERIZAÇÃO DAS "MASTER TAPES" EM SESSÕES DE 1972 E 1974!! A SONORIDADE DOS CARAS ERA O PROGRESSIVO COM BASE NO BLUES!! VENENO RARÍSSIMO E ALTAMENTE RECOMENDADO!!Devido ao trabalho pioneiro da rádio SWF de Baden-Baden, com a intenção de apresentar bandas alemãs talentosas há alguns tesouros existentes resgatados das profundezas muito bons. Este é outro grande lançamento quase desconhecido, com uma mescla de estilos como muitas bandas ótimas de kraut dos anos 70. JUD'S GALLERY tem suas m[usicas únicas na sua variedade e totalidade - todas as músicas são escritas pelo líder da banda "Judy" Winter. Mas - não admira que - não sem influências notáveis de várias outras bandas.
"SWF Sessions Vol.1" é um CD split com músicas gravadas no estúdio de rádio U1, da mesma forma como fez COUPLA PROG - sem overdubs e qualquer outra reformulação. Split, porque com dois line-ups e as únicas constantes foram Jürgen Winter e Peter Oehler. O primeiro refere-se a uma mistura de heavy blues e folk com violino Gremminger é. O segundo oferece mais rock jazz e algumas psicodélicas com o órgão Hammond de Clem Winterhalter.
Este álbum diversificado começa com o blues como base, inspirado em Jethro Tull e no estilo lembra muito a guitarra de Martin Barre - uma estréia promissora. DANGER OF SHOOT (primeira versão) soa completamente diferente na veia da banda String Driven Thing, com violino e piano. FOLLOW MW é uma canção excelente subindo a cada minuto uma música de rock pesado de trabalho forçado por Oehler de guitarra convincentes e acompanhamento de piano. Ótima harmonia vocal masculino-feminino dominam a balada acústica FRIENDS e CATCH THE FLY é composta e tocada de forma bastante dramática, mas também com uma parte jamming flutuando na segunda parte.
REACHING representa a nova orientação estilística, dois anos depois. Começando como rock simples que primeiramente soa decepcionante, mas, de repente, tudo evoluiu para uma impressionante peça de rock-jazz. DANGER OF SHOOT (versão final) é amadurecido em relação à versão inicial - rock pesado convincente. NORDACH parece ser a favorita de todos os tempos da banda - e é verdade - jazz rock, com carácter excepcional e adições jam psicodélica pela guitarra e hammond incorporado em um tema de blues - uma jóia!

Due to the pioneering work of the radio station SWF Baden-Baden with the intention to present talented german bands there are existing some very good conditioned treasures which were digged out some years ago. This is another nearly unknown enjoyable release with a melange of styles like many kraut bands of the 70s managed. JUD'S GALLERY's music is unique in its variety and entirety - all songs are written by band leader 'Judy' Winter. But - no wonder - not without noticable influences from several other bands.
'SWF Sessions Vol.1' is a split CD including songs recorded at the radio station studio U1 in the same way as COUPLA PROG did - without overdubs and any other reworking. Split because with two different line-ups and the only constants were Jürgen Winter and Peter Oehler. The first refers to a blend of heavy blues and folk with Gremminger's violin. The second delivers more jazz rock and some psychedelic with Clem Winterhalter's (mainly decent) Hammond organ. Interesting for a comparison - the song 'Danger of shoots' is offered twice.
This diversified album starts with the blues based Inspiration, Jethro Tull inspired and the guitar style remembers much at Martin Barre - a promising opener. Danger of shoot (early version) sounds completely different in the vein of the band String Driven Thing with violin and piano. Follow me is an excellent song rising with every minute to a heavy rock tune forced by Oehler's compelling guitar work and piano accompaniment. Nice male/female vocal harmonies are dominating the acoustic ballad Friends and Catch the fly is composed and played very dramatically but also delivered with a floating jamming part in the second half.
Reaching stands for the new stylistical orientation two years later. Starting as simple rock and sounding disappointing first but then suddenly it all developes to an impressing haunting jazz rock part. Danger of shoot (final version) is matured compared to the early version - compelling heavy rock. Nordach looks like to be the all-time band favourite - and it's true - fantastic jazz rock with jam character and psychedelic additions by guitar and hammond embedded in a blues theme - wow - a jewel! Definetely recommended - a versatile document of the prog history in Germany.
