The most sought-after and anticipated Australian re-release from the '60s - first time on cd! Featuring everything they recorded, including their classic LP, EP and previously unreleased material - 28 songs in all. This is perhaps the best 60's reissue Ive ever purchased. The links were Australia's feedback and crazy guitar kings of the mid 60's. This cd compiles the complete recordings of both lineups, including unreleased cuts, and some recordings by the Showmen, whom the links stole the rhythm sectino from for the 2nd lineup. Generally considered to be Australia's wildest group, The Missing Links played a raw R'n'B sound influenced by The Pretty Things. The second line-up was even more raucous than the first. They were one of the first Australian groups to grow long hair and destroy equipment on stage. They had a great reputation as a live band. Guitarist Doug Ford, a key figure in their second line-up, was later in The Master's Apprentices, whilst Peter Anson went on to Jeff St. John and The Id.
