REPOST: Someones Band - Same (1970 UK Blues Rock Prog)

REPOSTAGEM RARA E RECOMENDADA!!
REPOST RARE AND RECOMMENDED!!

BANDA OBSCURA QUE FAZIA UMA BOA COMBINAÇÃO ENTRE O  BLUES ROCK E O PROGRESSIVO, COM ALGUMAS SUTIS INFLUÊNCIAS DO JAZZ E DA MUSICA AFRICANA!! OS VIOLÕES ACÚSTICOS AGRUPAM-SE BEM COM OS SOLOS QUENTES DE GUITARRA E O VOCAL, AS VEZES, PARECE MUITO COM O DE "KIERAN WHITE" DA BANDA "STEAMHAMMER!! O GRUPO REUNIU-SE SÓ UMA VEZ PRA GRAVAR ESSE ÚNICO ALBUM, SENDO QUE, A REUNIÃO FOI ATRAVÉS DE UM ANÚNCIO DA MELODY MAKER, O QUE OS LEVOU A FAZER UMA DEMONSTRAÇÃO PARA A DECCA RECORDS, A QUAL LOGO EM SEGUIDA GRAVOU ESSE ALBUM!! A GRAVAÇÃO FOI NUMA ÚNICA NOITE E O RESULTADO FICOU MUITO LEGAL!! E SE PENSARMOS QUE OS CARAS ERAM PRATICAMENTE MÚSICOS AMADORES QUE SE REUNIRAM APENAS UMA VEZ PRA GRAVAR, DARIA PRA DIZER QUE O TRABALHO É EXCELENTE!!

The rare 1970 album from obscure UK rock band Someones Band. Acoustic guitars meet wild electric guitar solos with a vocalist reminiscent of Steamhammer's Kieran White. Bluesy with a spacey production this should appeal to fans of 60s UK blues and heavy 70s progressive UK rock.
This group got together via word of mouth and an advert in Melody Maker. They made a demo for Decca, who then sanctioned this album, which is now a monster rarity. Given that it was recorded in the course of a single night, it's a surprisingly polished and varied collection of progessive blues and soul. Also the influence of jazz, funk and African music is evident. Acoustic guitars meet wild electric guitar solos with a bluesy vocalist.

- Cecil James - vocals, percussion
- Melvin Buckley - guitar
- John Coxen - guitar
- Terry Powney - bass
- Woody Martin - drums, percussion
