A história do selo Long Hair começa com o lançamento de gravações de bandas mais ou menos desconhecidas do final dos anos 60 e início dos anos 70, que comandam uma competição de bandas na antiga estação de rádio alemã SWR (South West Broadcast) e receberam com as gravações público.  Stagg, quatro rapazes de Frankfurt, de todos os alunos, são um dos melhores que gravaram no SWF. Bem treinados em seus instrumentos flauta e saxofone, órgão e teclado, guitarra, baixo e bateria, Stagg gravou as cinco faixas, ao todo cerca de 40 minutos de música incrível e extraordinária. Eles são uma verdadeira jóia! A música é cheia de energia, melodias incríveis e surpresas. O som é absolutamente único e lembra uma mistura de Gomorrha tocando em seu segundo álbum, uma versão mais rock de Thrice Mice ou Thirsty Moon, mas também de Jethro Tull nos tempos de Benefit ou Aqualung. Duas faixas longas (cada uma com cerca de dez minutos) que permitiram aos músicos mostrar suas habilidades musicais com um surpreendente som de órgão e teclado, muitas vezes uníssono com sax ou flauta, uma guitarra com ligeiras interjeições espanholas, baixo muito apertado e bateria tocando com um baterista jogando um estilo 'sempre seguindo em frente'. Esta banda de Frankfurt tocou em muitos concertos na área de Frankfurt, mas também em clubes de Berlim, Munique, Hamburgo ou Colônia. A música é realmente incrível e as melodias tocadas pelo violão, teclado e flauta e saxofone atingem o seu coração e cérebro e após o final do álbum, você começará a ouvi-lo novamente e novamente. Este é um dos melhores álbuns da Long Hair de todos os tempos. Temos muito orgulho de lançá-lo depois de sete anos procurando os caras que tocaram esse som único! Frente e backcover são de uma pintura original pelo famoso pintor alemão Helmut Wenske (capas para Nektar, Dzyan e muitas outras bandas de Bacillus). As gravações de rádio foram remasterizadas e o som é brilhante.

Stagg, a quartet from Frankfurt, was one of the very best bands to record at the former German radio station SWF. Comprised of five impressive tracks, featuring flute, sax, keyboards, guitar, bass and drums, the band's totally stunning 1974 session now appears on vinyl! Fans of a.o. Gomorha, Thrice Mice, or Jethro Tull should definitely give these recordings, full of twists and brilliant melodies, a listen. 

The history of the Long hair label starts with the release of recordings of more or less unknown bands from the late sixties/ early seventies, who run a band competition in former German radio station SWR (South West Broadcast) and received with the recordings a wider public. A few of them like My Solid Ground, Kraan, became famous and recorded a lot of albums on well known German Krautrock labels. Others like Coupla Prog, Puppenhaus, Papa Zoot or Jud´s Gallery played and recorded their music at the radio studio but received no official record deal and most of the band members started a career in an other profession. Stagg four guys from Frankfurt, all students are one of the very best who recorded at the SWF. Well trained on their instruments flute and sax, organ and keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums Stagg recorded the five tracks, all in all about 40 minutes of amazing and extra ordinary music. They are a  real gem! The music is full of energy, amazing melodies and surprise twists. The sound is absolutely unique and reminds a mix of Gomorrha´s playing on their second album, a more rocking version of Thrice Mice or early Thirsty Moon but also of  Jethro Tull at times of Benefit or Aqualung. Two long tracks (each about ten minutes) which allowed the musicians to show their musical abilities with a surprising organ and keyboard sound, often unisono with sax or flute, a rocking guitar with slightly Spanish interjections, very tight bass and drums playing with a drummer playing in 'an always getting forward' style. This Frankfurt band played a lot of concerts in Frankfurt area but also Berlin, Munich, Hamburg or Cologne clubs. The music is really amazing and the melodies played by guitar, keyboard and flute and sax reach your heart and brain and after the album finishes, you will start to hear it again and again. This is one of Long Hair´s finest albums ever. We are very proud to release it after seven years for searching for the guys who played this unique sound! Front- and backcover are from a original painting by famous German painter Helmut Wenske (covers for Nektar, Dzyan and many more other Bacillus bands). The radio recordings were remastered and the sound is brilliant. Don´t miss this yet unknown but soon legendary sound
