POST TO FIX AN INJUSTICE !!! THIS POISON HAS NOT YET BEEN PRESCRIBED HERE IN THE BLOG !!! DESERVE TO BE HERE !! I AM DOING JUSTICE THIS EXCELLENT BAND AND ITS WONDERFUL ALBUM !!

HISTORY AND REVIEW
The band emerged from Memphis' fertile music scene, Tennesssee, and were formed in 1969. Led by skilled guitarist Lee Baker, who was said by some to be "the best guitarist, but you've never heard of". This must be taken into account when evaluating your entire career, your live performances, as you will not notice it that way, just listening to this album. In 1969, and after playing with the Memphis Blazers and the great band Mar-Keys, he had the opportunity to record an album at a Stax Records subsidiary, an album set in the legendary Ardent studios, and with Don Nix, who had produced many blues musicians and considered the architect of the Memphis sound.

These 12 songs contain a good dose of blues, guitar, dense organ and good drums and, among them, the song "Goin Down", before being covered by Eric Clapton, Freddie King, Deep Purple and other songs. The other members of the band were Phillip Durham, drums, Fred Nicholson, keyboard, Steve Spear, bass and Gene Wilkins as a singer. Although the bonus songs are from 1972, and 3 of the musicians change.

The sound we can hear here moves away and does not take into account the dominating influence, the Rolling Stone sound, Led Zeppelin, Blue Cheer, etc., not even the blues of Mississippi. The album was appreciated by musicians and critics, but this triumph was not reflected in sales, which caused the band to split up and, although years later, Baker tried again, with some change in the schedule, only one single was recorded. There is no more news from them.
